Enjoy the grace and charm of a quieter era in our spacious parlors and dining room with original tin ceilings and fancy plaster moldings. Fireplaces warm our common rooms and several guest rooms in winter; while ceiling fans and air conditioners comfort summer guests. Blackberry Inn a Camden Maine Inn was built in 1849 by a local merchant, industrialist and banking pioneer, Henry Knight, and served as his family's private residence into the mid 20th century. The home became an inn in the 1950's, hosting the cast party after the filming of the movie "Peyton Place". The Bette Davis Room, recalling Bette's stay at the inn after the party, is reminiscent of that era. Today the Blackberry Inn welcomes guests from across the country and around the world. |
